Wow, y'all. Great news from Laura's corner of the world. She's been cast in the next Tim Burton feature film, Sweeney Todd. It will be a musical and so Laura's talent will be fully out there. Yay for her. Well done, as the Brits say.
Playing the lead is Johnny Depp (apparently he sings! or will very soon) and Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha somebody somebody (the Borat guy -- eeew). How fun, making a film with Johnny Depp - one of my favorites. Tim Burton is also one of my favorite directors. Sounds like a win, win, win, win situation. I don't know the name of Laura's character, but she plays Johnny Depp's crazy wife. It starts filming in January and will be released by Christmas 2007.
Martin is such a proud papa. And I'm thinking that I have a year to get in shape just in case I get to go to the premiere! :)

Tim Burton and Johhny Depp are two of Steve's all-time favorite people. Would it be possible for Laura to get him a lock of Johhny's hair? Or maybe his right shoe?
If Steve gets the right shoe, could I have the left?
I am so excited that this is "for sure" enough to announce! Yippee. I'm buying my tickets NOW.
Oh wow, this is so exciting! Congrats to Laura; I want to buy my tickets now, too! I can't wait to see it. Keep us posted on how she is liking working with such incredible talent.
hmmm...she is playing johhny depp's wife...does that mean she gets to KISS him! aaaaahhhhhhhhh! i'm jealous...he he he. (roby is ok with crushes on stars by the way. ha!) this is an awesome opportunity for her and i can't wait to see her on the big screen!
